Hi, I’m Lawrence N Leung, CA LMFT 140348.

  • Master of Science in Clinical Psychology (MS) - San Francisco State University

  • Bachelor of Science in Psychology (BS) - University of California, San Diego

  • Therapist at Kaiser Child Psychiatry from 2020-2026

  • Current Crisis Clinician at Edgewood Center for Children and Families

I bring a human, grounded, and relational approach to therapy. Clients often describe our work as “a gentle yet purposeful conversation” — a space where humor, cultural context, and even the occasional meme help us connect authentically.

Many of the people I work with have tried therapy before and found that worksheets and homework didn’t get to the heart of things. My style is more collaborative and conversational. We slow down, explore what’s happening beneath the surface, and make sense of how your experiences shape the way you move through the world.

Therapy is a journey, and I’m committed to walking that path with you.

My Approach

Our work begins with what matters most to you. I’m transparent in my thoughts and reflections, and I hold deep respect for your own wisdom and lived experience. My goals are to help you:

  • Feel safe, supported, and understood

  • Recognize your strengths and potential

  • Navigate identity, relationships, and life transitions

  • Build resilience in the face of sociopolitical and systemic stressors

  • Approach challenges with more clarity and self‑trust

My Values as a Therapist

I believe therapy should feel human. That means:

  • Humor is welcome

  • Your identity and lived experience matter

  • We acknowledge the world you’re living in, including its sociopolitical realities, and we hold all of this with an anti‑oppressive and culturally attuned approach

  • You don’t have to perform or be “fixed”

  • You deserve a space where you can show up fully as yourself
