I offer individual psychotherapy for teens and adults. Sessions are typically 50 minutes. For teen clients, family and parent therapy are necessary components of treatment and can be part of the 50-minute sessions or separate.
If your treatment requires care coordination outside of session, this would be based on a pro-rated session fee if it requires more than 15 minutes.

My style is relational, trauma‑informed, and grounded in psychodynamic and systemic thinking. Together, we explore the patterns, relationships, and experiences that shape your emotional world — so you can understand yourself more deeply and move toward the life you want.
I also aim to provide transparency and follow your lead, so you always know what to expect and feel safe to talk about the hard things when you are ready.

Working with me feels like having a grounded, thoughtful conversation with someone who genuinely wants to understand you. Clients often describe our sessions as “a gentle yet purposeful conversation” where you can show up exactly as you are, without pressure to perform or be perfect.

If we're a fit and you choose to continue with me, here's what the first few weeks usually look like:
Intake paperwork: a short set of forms, done online through the client portal. This is needed to start our therapeutic relationship.
First few sessions: we'll go deeper into what's bringing you in and start building a plan together
Ongoing sessions: usually weekly at first, adjusted as we go based on what's actually helping

Sessions are $200 per 50 minute session. Most clients are private-pay as this allows for sessions to remain confidential and flexible, rather than dictated by what insurance deems worthy. Upon request, I can provide a superbill you may submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Please note that a superbill does require a diagnosis and you are strongly encouraged to contact your insurance company to clarify policies regarding out-of-network benefits and reimbursements prior to meeting.
A number of slots are available for insurance and sliding fee in order to be accessible. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you would like to use insurance or sliding fee, and we can hash out the details.

I have a limited number of slots available for insurance to provide accessibility of services.
The insurances I currently accept via Grow and Headway include: Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, Carelon BH, Cigna, Horizon BCBS NJ, Independence BC Penn, and UHC Optum.

At this time, sessions are virtual only via HIPAA compliant video platform. You must be physically located in the state of California during your sessions.
In-person sessions will be available later on; check-in here as I regularly update the website or reach out to ask.
-
Any computer, tablet, or smartphone with a stable internet connection, camera, and microphone will work. My platform is HIPAA-compliant and easy to access through your browser—no downloads required. The most important piece is finding a confidential space where you can open up.
-
You simply log in to the link you receive, whether it’s through my client portal or Headway/Grow.
Unfortunately, laws have not caught up to virtual therapy so I am only able to see folks who are physically in the state of California.

My working days are currently Wednesday and Thursday from 10AM-6PM.

For adults, confidentiality means that everything we talk about is private with the exception of safety concerns (e.g., if you are about to seriously injure yourself or other people, or if a child or elder is experiencing abuse.)
For teens 12+, you can start therapy services without parent consent though it’s generally recommended to involve your caregivers as they play a huge role in your life. Similarly, if you are about to hurt yourself or other people/elders, or if you share abuse that’s occurred to you, I have to legally break your confidentiality and report to keep you safe.

Sessions are primarily offered in English. I do have working proficiency in Spanish and Cantonese and sometimes intersperse words and phrases in sessions. Some clients find this helpful when trying to convey experiences better expressed through one of these languages.
